Darlington Culture Volunteers support a range of cultural events and activities which means that our volunteer opportunities change throughout the year. Here are a few examples of the types of roles that are available.
These volunteers will welcome visitors to the Darlington Hippodrome, signposting them to our heritage offer especially the exhibitions and new range of heritage activities.
Heritage tour guides
The heritage tour guides will volunteer alongside Darlington Hippodrome staff to deliver special tours within the theatre to various groups including schools and families.
Volunteer peer support and mentoring volunteers
In order to provide a positive volunteer experience at the theatre, volunteers will be part of a buddying/mentoring system, with more experienced volunteers supporting newer members.
Provide administrative support for the work of Darlington Culture Volunteers.
Support the organisation by attending public events and meetings, talking to potential volunteers, developing publicity materials and participating in volunteer recruitment, ensuring volunteers are available as required and are appropriately trained, briefed and supported.
Darlington Culture Volunteers social media support
Our social media organiser is looking for support for DCV's presence on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter and to keep this website up-to-fate. This is one you can do from home.
